What are we doing?
We're sending out 30+ journals to 30+ people around the globe that will each create a journal entry responding to questions within the pages. After they've put their thoughts on paper their task is to pass it on to someone else. With the end goal of all the journals arriving to Berlin by September 2025.
This project is an exploration. We’re curious about the human spirit and how collaboration, environment, hope, love, joy, dreams, grief, loneliness, and belonging play into community and a sense of wholeness.

Why?
Because human connection and communication are the most essential elements of creating a whole life.
As humans, we hear a lot about our tribalism and our competitive spirit— our competitive nature — but not enough about our collaborative potential. We think we have more potential to cooperate than we might realize. We see this as an experiment and we think it might help us to visualize what is possible when we work together across multiple spaces and with others.
Meet the Team
We are three creators, each with our own independent entrepreneurial endeavors in different pockets of the world. We all met in Lisbon in 2022 and never imagined we’d be creating something like this a few years later. With a shared ethos of creating beautiful things in the world, we combined energies to bring this project to life.
We see this work as an exploration and expression of our friendship that we hope will extend to others. We hope that your co-creation with us will result in something both beautiful and useful in the world as we all navigate a complex and chaotic future.

Monika Jiang is a writer, facilitator, and community builder shifting the narrative around loneliness—from something to fix or hide, to something deeply human we all experience. Through The Oneliness Project, she creates shared spaces and conversations that foster awareness, belonging, and reconnection—with ourselves, each other, and the world.
